These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Frugal Haven website at frugalhaven.com, our services and our SMS text messaging program (together, the “Services”), provided by Frugal Haven (“Frugal Haven,” “we,” “us” or “our”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Our services
Frugal Haven helps individuals, families and businesses lower their everyday costs. Our Services include bill review and negotiation, subscription review and cancellation support, help switching to better-value providers, tax filing support, budgeting guidance and our My Money Manager service. Content on our website is general information and is not financial, legal or tax advice.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. If you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information, keep your login details secure and tell us promptly about any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Your authorization
When you ask us to act for you – for example, to contact a provider about your bill – you confirm that you have the right to authorize that request. Nothing changes on your accounts unless you approve it.
4. SMS / text messaging program terms
Program name: Frugal Haven Alerts.
Program description: When you opt in, Frugal Haven sends text messages to the mobile number you provide. Messages may include account and service notifications, updates about savings we find for you, appointment and follow-up reminders, customer support replies and, if you choose to receive them, occasional money-saving tips and offers from Frugal Haven.
How you opt in: You opt in by entering your mobile number and checking the SMS consent box on a Frugal Haven form, or by texting START to our number. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of buying any goods or services.
Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your account activity and the services you use.
Cost: Message and data rates may apply. Please check your mobile plan for details. Frugal Haven does not charge for text messages.
How to opt out: You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent unless you opt in again. You can also reply UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT.

Carriers: Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on your carrier and device.
Your privacy: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.
5. Fees
If a service has a fee, we will explain it clearly before you agree to it. You will never be charged for a service you have not approved.
6. No guarantee of results
Savings depend on your providers, plans, location and personal circumstances. We work hard to find you savings, but we cannot guarantee any particular result.
7. Third-party providers
Your bills, subscriptions and accounts are provided by companies that are independent of Frugal Haven. We are not responsible for their products, services, prices, policies or actions, including any provider we recommend.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Services, including by interfering with the website, attempting to access accounts or data that are not yours, or using the Services for anything unlawful.
9. Intellectual property
The Frugal Haven name, logo and website content belong to Frugal Haven or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.
10. Disclaimer
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Frugal Haven will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or use the Services in a way that could cause harm.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
